Earlier this year I created an article on how to draw a starfish. That article contains a video on how to draw starfish as well as some printable dot-to-dots that you can use to make starfish drawing easier for your children. Today I wanted to share some starfish drawings I created for the picture book I published last year. The first page from the book has six drawings of starfish in it! Another activity for your kids is to go back in my book and count all the starfish. This will occupy a lot of time! :) These examples are a great guide for your kids as they learn how to draw starfish from different angles and perspectives. The second page from the book that I am sharing today is with Addison in the tub! This was a fun page to illustrate and kids love it! There are three starfish in this drawing holding the tub in place! Here are a few more starfish drawings that will give your kids -or you- some other views and ways to think about drawing some starfish. Remember, just like finding a starfish on the beach takes time and patience, so does drawing a starfish. As you and your kids continue to practice drawing and build this muscle, you will be able to draw starfish better than me! These are a few of my favorite images from my kids book and if you have any questions, please send me a note. If you need any help on how to draw a starfish or you would like me to create a custom starfish drawing for you, just let me know!
