As the page turns this week in my wordless picture book, Charlie wants to train Puppy. Every dog owner knows that you need to train your puppies so they don't get out of control. Charlie knows this too and wants to make sure Puppy is a well-behaved puppy, so Charlie decides to do some training. Charlie points in a direction and says, "Puppy go". Puppy does nothing. Puppy is thinking, "Yeah right, like I am going to do anything you say. I've been on my own for so long with no one to tell me what to do". Charlie does not give up very easy and uses some force this time but still isn't sure if Puppy is going to listen. "Go to your corner Puppy", Charlie said. Puppy, once again looks at Charlie thinking, "Are you serious right now"? Puppy, thankful to have found a new loving and caring friend, decides to listen to Charlie and goes to the other side of the room. He then playfully pokes his head out. :) Happy that someone actually cares for him, Puppy, runs back and jumps on Charlie. He gives Charlie a balloon to show him he loves him. I would love to hear your thoughts on this wordless book adventure so far. It's been an interesting journey so far for this little puppy. My favorite thing about creating a silent book is that everyone can create their own narrative. What do you want the characters to be feeling? Post your thoughts in the comments section!
