Recently I have been working on my next children's book. As an artist, visions of what the art for the picture book will look like comes to me easy. Ideas and concepts for new books also come easy to me in a similar manner; I have lots of ideas! However, actually writing the stories and flushing out my ideas usually takes up more of my time. I can flush out an idea and write out a concept, but it doesn't always read or flow well.
I currently have a few picture book ideas that I am working on. The great think about being creative and having all these ideas is deciding what happens and also creating the artwork as well. I see how the illustrations are going to look in my mind and it gets me really excited to write.
Here are some drawings that I finished using watercolors in preparation for upcoming kids books.
