"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up...." That is our greatest weakness?? Really? So, what Edison is saying is that all it takes for us to conquer our fears is to keep on trying?!?! Fall down 8 times, get up 9?!?! "...The most certain way to succeed is to always try just one more time.” Look, I know it's hard to keep going- Believe me I know... but if you're like me, it's harder to keep going back to your cubicle (unless you like that) and accepting life as it is... and accepting failure of something you tried. I can't ever give up, it's not in me. I've tried lots of things, and some of have worked out and some have totally failed. But that's apart of life right? Testing, trying, attempting, and eventually perfecting, and succeeding. Without all the bumps and bruises, ups and downs, anger to balance out the happiness, the negatives and the positives... Without the experience of the sad days... we wouldn't know what a happy day is. I know this is a bit simplified but the moral of the quote is Never give up.... Enjoy the Process and become more aware of where you are in the process. Try to acknowledge the fact that you succeeded by trying something and failing. It's hard to do because we have been taught our entire lives that failure was bad. When you were younger, through school, all the way up to your adult working life. FAILURE always, always, always, Equaled BAD, no, not good enough. You suck! etc. etc. Failure is good, failure is the direct response to trying something new. Failure is growing. Failure is innovation and acting on imagination. If you think you're beat, tired and got nothing left to give, try one more time! After all, we are all just three feet from Gold. Have any thoughts? I would love to hear how your progress is going and your projects are going? Are you having trouble moving forward? It's okay- Reach out to me and we can setup a time to chat about your situation. I give you the permission to fail. Cheers
