Every year people flock North to Northern New England to enjoy the crisp, cool Autumn weather while the birds start their migration south. These people are called 'leaf peepers' and excited to take photos of the beautiful leaves changing color. The New England Fall foliage always amazes me. A few weeks ago I did a little hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Although the foliage is a bit delayed from the lack of rain, there were still a few spots that had started to turn. While we were hiking and walking along the stream and trail, we came across this beautiful waterfall. People gathered around to enjoy the breathtaking view. Kids played in the water while laughter echoed off the stone wall. Some rested and ate lunch while others waited in line to take photos to remember this moment. The crisp fall air in the woods was present and most enjoyable. We snapped a few photos and continued on up the trail. There wasn't much foliage to focus on so the waterfall was great to have. It was a great weekend. I recently sold some prints of this photo. You can buy your own prints here. This upcoming weekend (Columbus Day), should be much nicer for the leaf peepers visiting New Hampshire. This weekend is typically a great weekend for viewing the New England foliage. I have seen much more foliage over the past few days and I am pretty excited about it myself.
