Art Jam in Manchester, New HampshireIn August, I will be displaying my art at a local Art Show in Manchester, NH called Art Jam at Riverside. It's a cool art festival where artists and musicians are coming together to raise money for local organizations to help fight the heroin/opioid crisis in our community. Another unique feature about this festival is that all the artists that are displaying their craft at the show will also be creating art live in front of the crowd. There are a ton of talented artist working in many different mediums. This art show is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the artists and everyone in attendance. Once I have more information regarding my booth location I will post about it and share more information about the show! Cheers! Where Do I Find The Best Children's Book in Spanish? It's not easy scouring the internet sifting through ten, twenty, maybe even hundreds of blogs, and Amazon reviews looking for a few recommendations for some of the best children's books that are translated in Spanish. I know because I went through this exhausting process myself! I spent way too many hours searching for some great books in Spanish. That's why I decided to create this post of some of the best Spanish storybooks available. Some of my favorite and common children's books in Spanish for ages one to two years old were compiled by babycenter.com are: Los Colores and Harold y El Lapiz De Color. If you haven't read these books, I highly recommend them! A few years ago, I created a children's book (my own starfish story) about a girl named Addison that goes on a wild adventure with the hopes of finding a starfish at the ocean. It's read all around the world by families kids looking to have fun exploring the beach for sea stars and learn more about these wonderful sea creatures. Because of all the success, my kids' book had, I decided to have Addison's Starfish Adventure translated into Spanish and contribute to the increasing number of children's books in Spanish.
If you are looking for another website with more recommendations, I found another excellent resource with a great list of Spanish children's stories for children of all ages. There is a wide range of books for kids starting in pre-K to children in the fifth and sixth grades, and I am sure you will find the Spanish book you want. I am currently working on two new children's books that I intend to have translated into Spanish for bilingual kids and hopefully, many other languages in the future. If you are interested in learning more about the upcoming stories, fill out the form below: A Fun Chess Tee Shirt for Chess PlayersIt's been a while since I have posted, so I set a goal to post before the end of the week. I had been posting about a silent book I've been working on and have since finished. I owe you a few posts to conclude the story which I will work on next week. This post is about a t-shirt I designed a few years back called Rollin' with my Bish's! I love this design, and I was contacted last week with a request for female shirts/tank tops available. My site is a work in progress, and I thought it would be a good idea to share a few of shirts in a blog post for all my chess players in the world. Here are two styles available for both men and women interested in comical chess related graphics. I print on demand, and you can order your shirts directly here. If there is an interest in a larger order, I can provide you with a quote. In other news, I am working on a few new books, so if anyone is interested in taking a break from their chess game, :) and would like to receive a sneak peak of my upcoming picture book, please send me a note. Until next time, protect your rooks, spare the queen, and don't forget to mind your pawns, because they will pave the way for the king to stroll down the board with his bish's! :) Cheers! Wordless Picture Book: Where are you?Where were you last week? Incase you don't know what is going on with this wordless story book, I will provide you a quick update. This story is about Puppy, on a long journey that
Well, Puppy went for a walk after going through Charlie's puppy training. Now Charlie can't find his new Puppy friend and he decide's to go out and look for him. Today in my silent kid's book journey, I introduce a new character and his name is Rex. He's cute, right? Sure he is, just look at that adorable smile.
As the page turns this week in my wordless picture book, Charlie wants to train Puppy. Every dog owner knows that you need to train your puppies so they don't get out of control. Charlie knows this too and wants to make sure Puppy is a well-behaved puppy, so Charlie decides to do some training.
The journey of this wordless book continues as Puppy follows his instincts and is naturally guided down the path, in the direction of a new character named, Charlie. Immediately these two had an instant connection and became best friends.
Last week in this wordless story, you met Charlie. The newest character in the kids book and Charlie is about to meet Puppy. As you know Puppy is on a journey and just lost his friend Alien.
Here we pick up in the story Puppy has just started back on the trail to continue his journey. Puppy just said goodbye to Alien in a symbolic way, by releasing the balloon that was given to him as a gift. Puppy releasing this balloon into the sky and atmosphere was a way of saying, I understand why you had to go and I am at peace. And now, Puppy walks...
